Ever since the global pandemic (Covid-19) takes place in the world, it’s extremely dangerous for people to even step outside of their houses. Does that mean children have to stop learning and going to school? Technology plays a significant role in this situation.
Advantages and disadvantages of remote learning
Online classes have become extremely trendy due to the pandemic and almost everyone student in the world has started doing remote learning to continue their studies and fulfill their dreams. Students only need an electronic device, either a phone or a laptop and they can keep learning. Moreover, an application like Zoom or Google meet even became more popular because most schools use these applications to give lectures to their students.
Advantages of Remote Learning
By using these tools, students are able to enhance their learning and their cognitive skills, which also allows them to improve their academic performance and physical health. Another great factor for remote learning is the financial cost. It is known that so many schools in Myanmar or other countries reduce their prices because learning has become remote.
Disadvantages of Remote Learning
Although these are positive points of remote learning, negative points also exist. For example, students have to sit in front of an electronic device for hours. This can hurt their eyes. Moreover, if the internet connection is unstable, it might be a a negative factor for students to attend an online class. Additionally, students can use various methods to cheat when it comes to assessments.
Conclusion
Everyone has different opinions when it comes to remote learning and physical learning. Some prefer remote learning; some prefer physical learning. Both have their own pros and cons. It’s also about one’s effort and hard work, whether it is remote learning or on campus learning. That is why, there is this saying: if you put 100% of your hard work as well as determination, you will definitely succeed.
