Pros and cons of studying alone

Pros: The great thing about studying alone is that there are very little distractions, a person can completely concentrate on what they are doing and finish their tasks on time. Another factor is “location”, different students have distinct study strategies to prepare for their assessment. Individual studying allows students to study in an atmosphere that’s perfect for them. Furthermore, they have full control over the study schedule as well. For example, some students work better at night time, others work better during the day. If they study alone, they can make a timetable that works best for them and take breaks when they desire. When students study in a group, the priority is finding a time that works for everyone which could lead to arguments and inefficiency.

Cons: it will be difficult to ask for help if one studies alone. Also, boredom could lead to demotivation to keep studying. As there is no communication, there will be a struggle for the person to generate a lot of ideas.

Pros and cons of studying with a group

Pros: One of the positive attributes of studying in group is that a person can get help directly if they do not understand something. Besides, various ideas can be shared among group members. Members will feel more motivated to study with people around you. Lastly, students are less likely to feel bored if they are studying with a group of friends.

Cons: There are also negative factors when studying in a group. For example, in group, there might be people who are extremely talkative and that could be a frustration as well as distraction for everyone in the group. Studying could be less effective and efficient due to this. Additionally, there could be communication problems which could result in demotivation and argument.
